Miami-Dade County Launches New GIS Site

The Beacon Council, in partnership with Miami-Dade County, Florida has launched a new GIS (geographic information system) site selection tool, which provides access at no cost to in-depth information that previously required costly and time consuming research.

Studies show site-selectors are increasingly more likely to use an economic development organization’s website in site location searches.

This new website features available sites and buildings, area demographics, industry data and analysis, and GIS mapping with live connection feeds directly from Miami-Dade County. The Beacon Council thanks Miami-Dade County Commission Vice Chair Lynda Bell for sponsoring and championing the GIS mapping legislation. This useful tool will serve as a critical economic development resource for local developers, site selectors, and companies looking to relocate or expand in the market.
